Explanatory note

Explanatory notes are intended to facilitate the application by all parties of the modernised rules for the coordination of social security systems. The notes were developed by the European Commission to supplement, but not replace, national guidelines for the application of the new regulations. The overview of the explanatory notes provides all the notes drafted and published so far in alphabetical order.

Work on the drafting of notes continues, depending on future needs and proposals. The notes are updated in line with developments in the application of the modernised coordination system.
